The second edition of “Orticolario”
Cernobbio, Lago di Como
1 – 3 October 2010

Another fair-market for flowers will be on stage from 1st to 3rd October 2010 in Cernobbio, at Villa Erba, the famous Luchino Visconti’s house that overlooks the Lake of Como.

It is promoted by Società Ortoflricola Comense, with the support of Orticola di Lombardia and a group of people keen on gardening.

Its aim is to hand over the proceeds to the charitable association of that area.

In order to reach this goal, last year Orticolario 2009 organized a dinner called: “Aggiungi un fiore a tavola”; for tat occasion, the director Paolo Lipari created the “Cinefiore” video”, with a selection of the greatest scenes in which the flower is the protagonist.

Every April the old banks of Naviglio Grande host from 9 am to 6.30 pm more than 200 florists from every part of Italy. Moreover, the beautiful frame of Naviglio Grande creates an unique visual impact that makes the visit really pleasant.

A fair in Turate

In Turate (Como), every year, you can visit a flower fair that lasts all day long. The event has a story of 20 years, and for some years it has been associated to other initiatives that have been a hit with the public, who used to walk around the decorated and folkloristic streets of the village till late in the night. Last year, were estimated about 10.000 presences, and the market was composed by 150 stallholders and, for the fifth time, by some hobbysts.
